Shipping Policy

This Shipping Policy outlines how orders placed with Kora Strand ("we", "us", "our") are processed, shipped, and delivered. By placing an order with us, you agree to the terms set out below.

1. Order Processing

All orders are subject to acceptance and availability. Orders are processed once payment has been successfully received and verified. You will receive an order confirmation email after your order has been placed.

Please note that many Kora Strand products are made to order — meaning your item is prepared specifically for you following order confirmation, rather than dispatched from existing stock. This is what allows us to offer the level of quality and customisation that defines the brand.

For made-to-order items, you have 24 hours from the time of placing your order to cancel or modify it. After this window, or once preparation has commenced (whichever is sooner), your order can no longer be cancelled or changed. Please refer to our Returns & Refunds Policy for further information.

2. Preparation and Lead Times

Made-to-order items require a preparation period of 5–10 business days prior to dispatch. This covers production, quality inspection, and packaging. Shipping transit time begins separately, once your order has been dispatched.

All preparation and lead times are estimates and are not guaranteed. Delays may occasionally occur due to material availability, finishing processes, or quality control requirements. If there is a significant change to your expected dispatch timeline, we will notify you by email as soon as possible.

3. Shipping Destinations

We currently ship to the following markets:

United Kingdom — our primary market, with full shipping coverage across England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland.

United States — shipped internationally with full tracking. Please see Section 6 for indicative delivery timeframes and Section 5 for information on duties and taxes.

Europe — we accept orders from across the EU and wider Europe, including France, Germany, the Netherlands, Ireland, Italy, Spain, and beyond. Shipping costs and estimated timeframes will be displayed at checkout.

Canada and Australia — orders are accepted and shipped with full tracking. Delivery timeframes and costs are displayed at checkout.

Rest of World — we ship to most countries worldwide. If your country is available, it will appear at checkout. If you are unsure whether we can deliver to your location, please contact us at shipping@korastrand.com before placing your order.

Please note that for all international orders outside the UK, customs duties, import taxes, or local charges may apply upon arrival in your destination country. These are outside of our control and are the responsibility of the customer. We recommend checking your local import regulations before placing an order.

We do not currently ship to P.O. boxes. Please ensure a full street address is provided at checkout.

4. Shipping Methods and Tracking

Shipping methods vary depending on the product type, destination, and service level selected at checkout. Available options may include standard tracked delivery, express tracked delivery, and signature-required delivery where applicable.

All orders are dispatched with a tracking number. Once your order has been handed to the courier, you will receive a dispatch confirmation email containing your tracking details. You can use this to monitor your delivery in real time.

Available shipping options and their associated costs will be displayed at checkout prior to payment.

5. Shipping Costs and Import Charges

Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on the product weight and packaging, your delivery destination, and the shipping method selected. All charges are clearly displayed before you complete payment.

For US and other international orders, please be aware that customs duties, import taxes, or local charges may apply upon arrival in your country. These charges are outside of our control and are the responsibility of the customer unless explicitly stated otherwise at checkout. We recommend checking your local import regulations before placing an order.

6. Delivery Timeframes

The following are indicative delivery timeframes from the date of dispatch. These are estimates only and are not guaranteed.

United Kingdom — 2–4 business days after dispatch.

United States — 5–10 business days after dispatch, depending on customs clearance and carrier.

Europe — 5–10 business days after dispatch, depending on destination country and customs clearance.

Canada — 5–10 business days after dispatch, depending on customs clearance and carrier.

Australia — 10–14 business days after dispatch, depending on customs clearance and carrier.

Rest of World — 10–14 business days after dispatch. Timeframes vary significantly by destination and are subject to local customs procedures. An estimate will be provided at checkout where possible.

Timeframes may be affected by courier or carrier delays, customs clearance for international orders, weather conditions, public holidays, or other unforeseen logistical issues. We are not responsible for delays outside of our reasonable control.

For your total order timeline, add the applicable preparation period from Section 2 to the delivery timeframe above.

7. Delivery Requirements

You are responsible for ensuring that your delivery address and contact details are accurate at the time of placing your order. We are not responsible for failed or delayed deliveries resulting from incorrect address information or missed delivery attempts.

If a delivery attempt is missed, please follow the instructions left by the courier to arrange redelivery or collection. Additional redelivery costs may apply.

8. Undeliverable Parcels

If a parcel is returned to us as undeliverable — due to an incorrect address, failed delivery attempts, or refusal to pay applicable import duties — we will contact you by email. In such cases:

You may request the order to be reshipped, in which case additional shipping costs will apply and must be paid before we reship.

Alternatively, we can issue a refund for the product value, minus the original shipping cost and any return fees incurred.

We are not responsible for parcels that are undeliverable due to information provided incorrectly at checkout.

9. Risk of Loss

Risk of loss or damage passes to you upon handover of your order to the courier or postal carrier. Once your order has been dispatched and tracking has been activated, any loss or damage in transit is subject to the courier's terms and any applicable insurance.

You must inspect your items upon receipt and report any missing items, damage, or delivery discrepancies to us within 7 business days of delivery by contacting shipping@korastrand.com. Please retain all original packaging until the matter is resolved, as this may be required for any courier claim.

Failure to report issues within this timeframe may limit our ability to investigate or assist.

10. Force Majeure

We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to carrier disruptions, customs delays, natural disasters, pandemics, or acts of government authorities. In such cases, delivery timelines may be extended without liability on our part. We will communicate any known disruptions to affected customers as soon as reasonably practicable.

11. Changes to This Shipping Policy

We may update this Shipping Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our operations, shipping partners, or legal requirements. Any updates will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. We recommend reviewing this page periodically, particularly before placing an order.
