Find the right hair for you
Not sure where to start? This guide walks you through everything — from choosing the right texture and method, to matching your shade and finding the right fit for your lifestyle. Take your time, and use the sections below to find exactly what you need.
01 — FIND YOUR TEXTURE
A smooth, sleek texture with a clean, polished finish. Silk Straight has a refined, high-shine appearance with fluid movement and no frizz. It is the most dressed of our straight textures and suits women whose natural hair is chemically straightened, heat-pressed to a glass finish, or naturally pin-straight. It will not blend with unprocessed or textured hair without significant heat styling.
Best paired with: relaxed hair, chemically straightened hair, or naturally straight hair types.
Mimics the look and feel of natural textured hair that has been heat-pressed or blow-dried straight. It carries a soft body and subtle movement that neither Silk Straight nor Natural Straight have, making it the most realistic match for women who achieve their straight styles through heat rather than chemicals. It sits naturally on type 3 and type 4 hair in its straightened state.
Best paired with: type 3 and type 4 hair that is regularly silk pressed or blow-dried straight.

A gentle, relaxed wave with a soft natural movement and subtle body. Not a defined curl — more of an easy, flowing S-wave that sits close without being dramatic. Low maintenance and consistently wearable, it does not require heavy manipulation to look right. A good choice for women who want texture without commitment.
Best paired with: type 2a to 2c hair, or type 3 hair in a stretched or blown-out state.
A fuller, more open wave pattern with more volume and movement than Soft Wave. The wave is clearly defined but relaxed, giving a bouncy, full-bodied result that holds well through styling. It can be worn as it comes or lightly touched up with heat, and responds well to both.
Best paired with: type 2b to 3a hair, or women who regularly wear their hair in a loose, voluminous style.
A tighter, more structured wave with a consistent ripple pattern and noticeable volume. It has more presence than Loose Wave and a bolder, more textured finish. It refreshes well with moisture and holds its pattern through regular wear.
Best paired with: type 3a to 3b hair, or women who wear their natural hair in a stretched or blow-dried wave.
A defined, springy curl pattern with consistent texture from root to ends. It has natural volume and bounce, and is built to blend with type 3 and type 4 natural hair. It holds its shape well and can be refreshed with moisture to maintain curl definition between washes.
Best paired with: type 3a to 3c hair, particularly women who wear wash-and-go or stretched curl styles.
A tight, defined coil pattern with consistent texture from root to ends. Designed specifically for type 4 natural hair, Natural Coil is built to blend with coily hair worn in its natural state without requiring heat or manipulation to achieve the match. It is one of the few textures in any extension range genuinely developed with type 4 women in mind.
Best paired with: type 4a to 4c hair worn naturally.
02 — CHOOSE YOUR METHOD
Clip-ins are temporary extensions attached using small pressure clips that sit flat against the scalp. They can be applied and removed at home in minutes with no professional help needed, and cause no long-term commitment to your natural hair. They are ideal for occasional wear, special events, or anyone who wants to try extensions without the investment of a professional installation. Clip-ins should be removed before sleeping. Expected lifespan with proper care: 6–12 months with regular wear.
Best for: beginners, occasional use, added volume or length, women who change their style frequently.
Tape extensions use ultra-thin adhesive wefts that sandwich sections of your natural hair between two panels of hair. They lie completely flat and are virtually undetectable, even in high ponytails. They are professionally installed and can last 6–8 weeks before needing a move-up, at which point the same set is reapplied. They are one of the lowest-damage methods available. Not suitable for very fine or significantly damaged hair.
Best for: everyday wear, women who want a seamless blend, those who regularly wear their hair up.
A hybrid between a weft and a tape extension. The Seamline Weft uses a thicker, more structured weft panel with the same tape attachment system, offering more volume per row than standard tape extensions. Suitable for women who want fuller, more dramatic results without moving to a heavier bonded method. Professionally installed.
Best for: women wanting volume and density, those with medium to thick natural hair.
A more refined version of our standard tape extension, with a narrower weft designed for precision placement around the hairline and temples. Ideal for women who need targeted coverage in specific areas rather than all-over volume.
Best for: hairline coverage, targeted volume placement, fine hair.
Nano-tip extensions use a tiny keratin bead — the smallest bond type available — threaded onto small sections of your natural hair and crimped in place. The bond is virtually invisible and sits very close to the scalp. They are professionally installed and can last 3–4 months before needing maintenance. One of the most discreet bonded methods.
Best for: fine hair, women who wear their hair in sleek or up styles, low-bulk installation.
Flat-tip extensions use a small flattened keratin bond that sits flush against the head. They offer slightly more coverage per bond than nano-tips and are a strong option for women with medium to thick natural hair who want a longer-term bonded installation. Professionally installed. Last 3–4 months with proper care.
Best for: medium to thick hair, long-term wear, women who want natural movement and flexibility.
Weft hair is sewn directly onto braided tracks of your natural hair. It is one of the most versatile and long-standing methods, particularly popular as a protective style. Our Seamless Weft has no visible seam at the top, making it flatter and less detectable than traditional wefts. Professionally installed. Can last 6–8 weeks before needing a refresh.
Best for: protective styling, women with natural or relaxed hair, full transformations.
Traditional weft bundles designed for classic sew-in installations. Used to build full, voluminous installs or to layer textures. Sold in bundles — the number required depends on the desired density and length. Professionally installed.
Best for: full sew-in installs, protective styling, maximum volume and length.
A closure is a small lace piece — typically 4x4 or 5x5 inches — used to close off a sew-in installation and create a natural-looking parting at the crown. It is not a standalone piece but is used in combination with weft bundles. It gives a finished, polished look without leaving your natural hair exposed.
Best for: completing a sew-in install, creating a natural parting, full coverage looks.
A frontal covers the full hairline from ear to ear and is used to create a natural hairline across the front of an installation. It offers more versatility than a closure — you can part the hair anywhere across the front — and is commonly used in full wig-like sew-in installs. Professionally applied.
Best for: full hairline coverage, versatile parting, protective styling with a natural-looking finish.
03 — WIGS VS EXTENSIONS
Extensions are added to your existing natural hair to enhance length, volume, or texture. Your natural hair remains visible and plays a role in the finished look. Wigs sit over your natural hair entirely, meaning your natural hair can be tucked away underneath. Wigs offer a more complete transformation and are a strong choice for protective styling.
Extensions — particularly bonded and sew-in methods — require professional installation and are worn continuously for weeks at a time.
Clip-in extensions are the exception and can be removed daily.
Wigs can be removed and reapplied at home, making them more flexible day to day.
Extensions blend with your natural hair, so your styling options are shaped by both. Wigs can be pre-styled or restyled independently, giving you more control over the finished look without affecting your natural hair underneath.
Both can serve as a protective style, but wigs typically offer more complete protection as your natural hair is fully tucked away. Sew-in extensions are also a strong protective option when installed correctly.
Women who want full flexibility, protective styling, regular style changes, or those managing hair growth or thinning underneath.
Women who want to enhance their natural hair with added length or volume while keeping their natural hair visible and integrated into the style.
04 — HOW TO MATCH YOUR SHADE
The most accurate way to match is to compare your natural hair to the shade swatches in natural light. Look at the mid-lengths and ends of your hair rather than the roots, as extension colour is designed to match the body of the hair rather than new growth. If you sit between two shades, choose the one closest to your ends.
Hair has undertones — warm (red, golden, copper) or cool (ash, neutral). Our shade range includes both warm and cool tones. If your natural hair has warm undertones, choose a shade from the warmer end of that family. If your hair pulls ashy or cool, choose accordingly. Mismatching undertones is one of the most common reasons extensions do not blend naturally.
Several shades in the range feature a rooted effect — a darker base that transitions into the mid-shaft and ends. These shades offer a more natural, grown-out appearance and are more forgiving if your natural roots are slightly darker than the rest of your hair.
Use our Colour Guide page for a full visual breakdown of the range, or contact us directly for shade matching support. We would rather help you get it right the first time.
05 — HOW MUCH HAIR DO I NEED?
For added volume: 1 set.
For significant length and volume: 1–2 sets depending on your natural hair density.
Our clip-in sets are sold as complete sets already — each contains multiple wefts designed to be layered throughout the hair.
Most installs use between 40 and 60 pieces for a full head. Fine hair may require fewer; thick hair may require more.
Your stylist will advise based on your hair at consultation.
A full head installation typically uses 100–150 bonds. Volume installs may use fewer.
The number will vary depending on your hair density and the length you are going to. Your stylist will assess at consultation.
Shorter lengths (up to 16 inches): 2–3 bundles.
Mid lengths (18–22 inches): 3–4 bundles.
Longer lengths (24 inches and above): 4–5 bundles.
These are general guidelines — your stylist will confirm based on your desired density.
Seamless weft is typically sold by length of weft rather than by bundle count. Your stylist will cut and customise to fit.
Most installs use 2–3 wefts depending on the coverage required.
Wigs are sold as complete, ready-to-wear units — no additional hair is needed.
06 — CHOOSING YOUR WIG STYLE
A full-length wig without a defined cut. The Classic style offers the most versatility — it can be worn straight, curled, or styled to preference. It is the most adaptable style in the range and suits a wide variety of face shapes. A strong starting point for first-time wig wearers.
A shorter, cut style with a defined blunt or tapered finish. The Bob sits at or above the shoulders and is a clean, polished look that works well for everyday wear. It requires less maintenance than longer styles and is a particularly good option for women who want a neat, put-together finish without the weight of a full-length wig.
Any style that includes a built-in fringe. The fringe sits along the hairline and can be worn straight across or swept to the side. It frames the face immediately and reduces the need for additional styling at the front. A good option for women who want a defined look without having to style the hairline themselves.
A full-length style with built-in layers through the mid-lengths and ends. Layers create movement, reduce bulk, and give the hair a more natural, dimensional finish. The Layered style suits women who want fullness without flatness, and works particularly well across wavy and curly textures.
07 — PONYTAIL GUIDE
The Wrap attaches by wrapping a section of the extension hair around your natural ponytail base and securing it in place. It gives the most seamless, natural finish of the three formats as there is no visible hardware at the base. Best suited to women with enough natural hair to create a secure anchor point. Works across all textures.
The Cinch uses a drawstring or elastic mechanism to secure the extension around your natural ponytail. It is the quickest to apply and adjust, making it the best option for everyday use or on-the-go styling. The finish is clean and secure. Works well for women with fine to medium natural hair.
The Claw uses a clip or claw-style fastening at the base, making it the most secure attachment of the three. It is particularly well suited to women with thicker natural hair who need a stronger hold. The claw sits flat at the base and is designed to be discreet even when worn up.
Choose a texture that matches your natural hair when pulled back. Most women find that their natural hair, when in a ponytail, sits somewhere between its loose texture and a more stretched version of it.
If your natural hair is type 4 and you wear it in a slicked-back ponytail without heat, Natural Coil is your closest match. If you press or blow-dry before putting your hair up, consider Pressed Straight or Natural Straight.
08 — HAIR BY LIFESTYLE
If you train regularly, swim, or live in a humid climate, you need hair that handles moisture and movement without tangling or losing its shape. Best methods: clip-ins (removable before training), tape extensions with secure placement, or wigs that can be removed and stored. Best textures: wavy and curly textures tend to refresh better after exposure to moisture than straight styles.
If your priority is protecting your natural hair while still achieving a finished look, choose a method that keeps your natural hair tucked away and reduces manipulation. Best methods: sew-in with wefts, full lace wigs. Best textures: any — choose based on your desired look rather than your natural hair, as the goal is to keep your natural hair undisturbed.
If you want hair that looks good with minimal effort, focus on methods that do not require daily removal or frequent restyling. Best methods: bonded extensions (nano-tip or flat-tip) or tape extensions — wake up with your hair already done. Best textures: Natural Straight, Pressed Straight, or Soft Wave — all hold their shape with minimal upkeep.
If you want hair specifically for events, shoots, or occasions, prioritise impact and versatility over longevity. Best method: clip-ins — easy to apply, no commitment, and no risk to your natural hair. Best textures: whichever delivers the result you want. Wigs are also a strong option for occasions where you want a complete, pre-styled look.
If you plan to wear your extensions or wig every day, durability and comfort are the priority. Best methods: tape extensions, bonded extensions, or a high-quality wig worn with a comfortable cap. Best textures: choose based on your natural hair blend — a texture that sits too far from your natural hair will require daily upkeep to maintain the blend.
09 — FIRST TIME BUYER
If you are completely new to extensions, start with clip-ins. They require no professional installation, no commitment, and no risk to your natural hair. They allow you to get a feel for wearing extensions, understand what length and texture work for you, and build confidence before investing in a longer-term method.
If you are new to wigs, our Classic or Layered styles are the most beginner-friendly as they offer the most styling flexibility and do not require a specific technique to wear well.
Read Section 01 of this guide.
The key question is: what does your natural hair look like at its most typical? Not your best wash day, not fully styled — just your everyday hair.
Your extension texture should match or complement that, not a version of your hair that requires significant effort to achieve.
Yes, when the texture and shade are matched correctly. The most common reason extensions look unnatural is a mismatch in either texture or undertone.
Use Section 01 and Section 04 of this guide carefully and take your time with shade selection.
For clip-in and wigs: no. They can be applied at home.
For tape, bonded or sew-in: yes. These require professional installation and should not be attempted at home. A good stylist will also help you choose the right method and weight for your natural hair.

The short version: treat the hair as you would your own — gently, with the right products, and without excessive heat.
10 — CARE AND LONGEVITY
Expected lifespan: 6–12 months with regular wear, longer with occasional use.
Key care rules: remove before sleeping, wash every 15–20 wears, store flat or hanging, avoid excessive heat.
The most common cause of reduced lifespan in clip-ins is tangling from being left in too long or stored loosely.
Expected lifespan: each set can typically be reapplied 2–3 times before the hair begins to show wear. Individual move-up appointments every 6–8 weeks.
Key care rules: avoid oil-based products near the bonds, sleep with hair in a loose braid or plait, brush from the ends upward.
Expected lifespan: 3–4 months per installation, with the hair itself lasting through multiple reinstalls if well maintained.
Key care rules: avoid heat directly on the bonds, use a loop brush designed for bonded extensions, sleep in a protective style.
Expected lifespan: 6–8 weeks per install. The hair itself can last considerably longer if removed carefully and stored correctly between installs.
Key care rules: keep the scalp clean, avoid product buildup on the tracks, return to your stylist for removal rather than removing at home.
Expected lifespan: 12 months or more with regular wear and proper care.
Key care rules: wash every 10–14 wears, store on a wig stand or in the original packaging, keep heat styling minimal on non-heat resistant cap constructions, and handle the lace with care during application and removal.
Use sulphate-free shampoo and conditioner.
Detangle gently from the ends upward.
Apply heat protectant before any heat styling.
Do not sleep in extensions or wigs unless they are designed for overnight wear.
Store correctly when not in use.
The better you care for the hair, the longer it performs.
